Overview

Automation lets your Eigi work without you asking each time. Set up a task once — in plain language or from the dashboard — and Eigi runs it on schedule, delivers the result where you want it, and keeps going day after day.

Reminders & Scheduled Tasks

One-off reminders

“Remind me to call the bank tomorrow at 4” — Eigi pings you at the right time, on the channel you prefer.

Recurring tasks

“Every weekday at 9, summarize my unread email” — Eigi runs the full task each time and sends you the result.

Two ways to create them

Tell Eigi what you want and when, in plain language. It sets up the schedule itself and confirms what it created. Reminders keep the context of the conversation they came from, so “remind me about this” works.
The Automation section lists every scheduled job as a card — what it does, when it runs next, and its recent runs. Create, edit, pause, or delete jobs from here.

What a scheduled task can do

A scheduled task isn’t just a notification — it’s a full Eigi run. It can browse the web, check your connected apps, prepare a report, and then message you the outcome on the dashboard, WhatsApp, Slack, or wherever you’ve asked for it.
Good automations to start with: a morning briefing, a daily inbox summary, a weekly report from a spreadsheet, or a price/status check that alerts you only when something changes.

Webhooks

Webhooks let outside systems trigger your Eigi. Each webhook route gives you a unique URL — when something calls it, Eigi wakes up and handles the event with instructions you’ve defined.

Create a route

In Automation → Webhooks, add a route and describe what Eigi should do when it fires.

Copy the URL

Paste it into the external service (a form tool, a CRM, a monitoring system) that should trigger it.

Let it run

Each incoming call starts an Eigi run with the event’s data. Eigi acts on it and can notify you with the result.
Automations run even when you’re offline — that’s the point of Eigi having its own always-on computer. You’ll find the results waiting in your sessions or delivered to your channels.
